Health & Wellness Counselor
Michelle Davenport is both the Business Manager and the Health & Wellness Counselor at Carden Academy where she has been employed since 2006.
Prior to joining the staff at Carden, Michelle had been involved for many years in Maui’s business community. She has been a licensed realtor, an escrow officer, and a real estate/construction accounting manager. In addition to her role as Business Manager, Michelle is also Carden’s Counselor. She holds a Hawaii-state psychotherapy license and is available to offer emotional/behavioral/relational support to students, staff, and parents while on campus.
Michelle received her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of California and her master’s degree in Psychology from Argosy University. Michelle is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) and a clinical member of American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA). In the last few years, she has been a conference presenter in New York City, Los Angeles, Houston, San Francisco, and Maui, speaking about various fields of interest and expertise.
While raising her two children on the island, Michelle also worked for many years as a preschool teacher and a children’s swim coach. Michelle enjoys traveling, reading, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. She resides in Kula where she has lived for over 35 years.
