Math Matters is a nationwide program for elementary students with exceptional skills and a lively interest in Mathematics.
The objectives of the Math Matters program are:
- To promote interest and enthusiasm for mathematics;
- To strive toward mathematics excellence; and
- To increase the importance of mathematics among students, parents, educators, and the general public.
The Math Matters Mathematics Competition is locally sponsored by Hawaii Society of Professional Engineers (HSPE) Maui Chapter and is held annually in association with Engineers Week.
