Gardening (K-2)
Gardening is an outdoor, hands-on, experiential learning class for Kindergarten through second grade. Students participate in the planning, preparation, planting, and harvest of the school garden. Students learn organic gardening/farming methods through activities and storytelling.  The goal of the class is to educate and cultivate the students’ interest in growing food for themselves, their families, and the community.

Carden Academy of Maui is a member of the 
Carden Educational Foundation, and is accredited by the 
Hawaii Association of Independent Schools and the 
Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Carden Academy of Maui is committed to educating the whole child through a balance of academic excellence, character development, and enrichment through the arts in a nurturing, small classroom setting.

We are an independent, private school located in the Upcountry Maui area of Pukalani. Founded in 1998, the school serves children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8, with one class per grade and a maximum enrollment of 184 students.
