STEM & Educational Technology Teacher – Part Time

Job Description:
Carden Academy of Maui is seeking a dynamic, inspiring, and forward-thinking STEM & Educational Technology Teacher who is excited to lead an engaging, cohesive, and developmentally appropriate STEM experience for our students, while helping support technology integration at our school.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in STEM-related field or Education

Middle School English Language Arts & 6th Grade Science Teacher – Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Carden Academy of Maui is seeking an exceptional Middle School English Language Arts (Grade 6-8) & 6th Grade Science Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an opportunity to teach in a school where academic excellence, character development, and meaningful relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for an educator who:

This role includes teaching:
– 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade English Language Arts – one class per grade level
(reading, writing, and grammar)

– Serving as a 6th grade homeroom teacher / advisor

You will:
– Design and deliver structured, engaging ELA instruction for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades
– Build strong reading comprehension and analytical thinking skills
– Guide students through the writing process with clarity and purpose

Assistant Preschool Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Carden Academy of Maui is an independent private school serving students from Preschool through 8th Grade in Pukalani.
Carden Academy is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher for our Preschool program (ages 3 and 4) for the 2026-27 school year. The teacher will serve a group of 12 preschool students. The ideal teacher will have a passion for early childhood and an understanding of the Carden Method in addition to successful experience teaching in an early learning program. This role includes supporting the Lead Teacher, supervising and monitoring the children, accompanying the children to enrichment classes, helping to maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, and working with small groups of children in various activities.

Educational Qualifications: 
– Clearance through PATCH Hawaii – Aid is minimum level – Teacher level, preferred;
– Child Development Associate (CDA) for Preschool Credential preferred;
– Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, preferred;
– A minimum of 3 years of experience

Additional Teacher Qualifications:
– Proven ability to design an early learning classroom environment, to create emergent curriculum, and develop documentation to share specifics of programmatic work for children age 3 years to 4;
– Ability to regularly assess students and develop lessons that align with a developmentally appropriate program for children aged 3 to 4;
– Ability to manage, assess, and articulate classroom needs for resources and programmatic growth;
– Excellent communication skills and ability to constructively collaborate with colleagues and parents;
– A love for young children, flexibility, and a sense of humor are required;
– Applicants should be familiar with basic use of technology devices (MacBooks, iPads, etc.) and have ability to be proficient with use of Microsoft Office applications, Google applications, and various cloud-based services.

Physical Requirements:
– Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time;
– Ability to lift 50 pounds;
– Must be able to move comfortably around a classroom and outdoor playground space, accessing materials and assisting students as needed.

School Custodian – Full Time

Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time custodian (8 hours per day/5 days per week). This position plays a vital role in supporting a safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environment for students and staff. Custodian is responsible for the daily upkeep of school facilities, including cleaning, sanitation to help ensure that all areas of the campus are orderly, functional, and conducive to learning, while also promoting health and safety standards throughout the school.

Applicant Requirements:
Essential Custodial Responsibilities:
– Report to and work well under the direction of Administration
– Pass background check, fingerprinting
– Ability to perform physical work and occasional heavy lifting
– Ability to complete any required training & professional development
– Clean & disinfect campus facilities (indoor & outdoor spaces) in accordance with the schools cleaning & disinfection plan.
– Monitor and restock custodial supply rooms
– Launder linens and reusable cleaning cloths
– Operate carpet & floor cleaning machines, clean windows, power wash, etc.
– Assist with set up chairs and tables for assemblies, school events, outdoor learning spaces, and support teachers in classroom with any set up/breakdown/moving of furniture

School Maintenance Assistant – Full Time

Job Description:
The Maintenance Assistant plays an essential role in supporting the upkeep and appearance of school facilities and campus grounds. This position assists with routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, equipment upkeep, and facility inspections, helping ensure that buildings remain safe, functional, and in good working order. In addition to indoor maintenance duties, the role also includes light landscaping responsibilities such as mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and maintaining outdoor areas to keep the campus clean, attractive, and welcoming. By contributing to both facility maintenance and grounds care, the Maintenance Assistant helps create a safe and well-maintained environment that supports daily school operations and enhances the overall campus experience.
